                 NSF OIG received two anonymous letters alleging nepotism in hiring at NSF. We did not
         find evidence that NSF personnel policies, the federal anti-nepotism statute/ or the criminal
         conflict of interest statutes2 were violated. Accordingly, this case is closed with no further action
         taken.
