Our office received multiple allegations about a PI (Subject) on former NSF awards. 1
Most of the allegations were related to the Subject allegedly submitting false information in
NSF proposal biographical sketches. In each of these cases, the statute oflimitations has long passed.
For a plagiarism allegation involving a document unconnected to NSF, we did not have
jurisdiction.
We found the allegation that the Subject falsely claims to have a Ph.D. unsubstantiated.
Finally, we found the allegation that the Subject was falsely claiming to serve on an NSF
Advisory Committee to be substantiated and our office took appropriate action.
This case is closed with no further action taken.
