                                            CLOSEOUT MEMORANDUM

 Case Number: I-16-0026-O Page 1 of 1

Our office received an allegation regarding a violation of peer reviewer confidentiality.
Specifically, a Researcher1 posted two confidential proposals2 on his personal university website.
He subsequently apologized and removed the proposals from his website, after an NSF Program
Director contacted him about the impropriety of them being posted online.

We sent the Researcher a questionable research practice letter reminding him of his
responsibility to delete confidential NSF proposals from his computer and to never post them
publically. Accordingly, this case is closed with no further action taken.
